A key USP of the PowerCat 6 DataGate Jack is its patented spring-loaded shutter. This innovative mechanism protects the RJ45 interface from dust and contaminants. In addition, it prevents incomplete plug insertion by automatically ejecting an improperly seated patch cord. Therefore, it ensures correct and secure mating with simple single-handed plug-in and removal.
The jack features patented IDC V-shaped contacts that flex rather than fatigue during termination. As a result, it supports repeated terminations without performance degradation.
