One of the key USPs of the PowerCat 6 DataGate Jack is its patented spring-loaded shutter. This mechanism protects the RJ45 interface from dust and contaminants. In addition, it prevents incomplete plug insertion by automatically ejecting an improperly seated patch cord. Therefore, it ensures correct and secure mating every time with convenient single-handed plug-in and removal.
The jack features patented IDC V-shaped contacts that flex rather than fatigue during termination. As a result, it supports repeated re-terminations without degrading performance. Furthermore, pointed IDC towers speed up termination and enhance cable retention, which improves installation efficiency and connection stability.
The KSJ-00018-YL DataGate Jack supports T568A and T568B wiring schemes through dual color coding. It can be terminated using standard industry punch-down tools and accommodates 22–24 AWG solid conductors. Additionally, it is RJ-11 compatible, making it suitable for mixed-use structured cabling environments.
